MetLife and City Bank sign agreement on agent banking premium collection1 min read

MetLife Bangladesh has recently signed an agreement with City Bank PLC., one of the leading private commercial banks in the country. Through this partnership, MetLife policyholders can now conveniently pay their premiums at City Bank’s 495 nationwide agent banking points, significantly increasing access and convenience for customers.

This new initiative strengthens MetLife’s existing premium payment channels, which already include online payments, bank counters, mobile financial services, and MetLife customer service centers. With this partnership, MetLife aims to make premium payments easier and more accessible for its growing customer base, particularly those in rural and remote areas.

The contract was signed by Ala Uddin, Deputy Managing Director & Chief Financial Officer, MetLife Bangladesh, and Nurullah Chaudhury, Deputy Managing Director & Head of Corporate Banking of City Bank.

Also present in the ceremony were, from MetLife Bangladesh, Kamrul Anam, Deputy Managing Director & Chief Operations Officer; Sharif Mehedi Hassan, Director; Nahid Mousumi, Assistant Director; and from City Bank, Tahsin Haq, Head of Corporate and Institutional Liability; Mohibur Rahman, Head of Agent Banking Division, and other senior officials.

With an aim to strengthen insurance popularity, the collaboration between MetLife Bangladesh and City Bank PLC is expected to benefit a large number of customers, providing them with more convenient options to manage their insurance policies and ensuring financial security for themselves and their families.
