Instagram has rolled out a feature allowing users to craft personalized “Add Yours” templates within the app, presenting a novel way to enhance engagement based on specific and user-selected parameters. As reported, this latest update empowers users to develop reusable versions of their Stories formats, facilitating the creation of custom quizzes, prompts, and more, leveraging existing in-stream tools.
According to Instagram, users can now create and share their unique, meme-worthy “Add Yours” templates by pinning GIFs, text, and gallery images to a Story template. This feature opens up diverse avenues for individuals to express creativity within Stories and communicate thoughts with followers.
Reportedly, to create an “Add Yours” template, users first incorporate desired GIFs, text, or images into their Story. Subsequently, they access the “Add Yours Templates” option from the sticker tray, selecting the elements to pin as part of their template. Additionally, users can draw inspiration from Instagram’s own templates, generated by tapping the dice icon at the bottom of the composer screen. Once posted to the Story, the “Add Yours” prompt invites viewers to share their unique take on the same template.
