Grameenphone, Teletalk, EDOTCO Join Hands to Boost Countrywide Connectivity

In a major step towards enhancing nationwide connectivity, leading telecommunications services provider Grameenphone, state-owned mobile operator Teletalk, and leading TowerCo EDOTCO Bangladesh have entered into a landmark infrastructure sharing agreement to strengthen Bangladesh’s digital ecosystem, as stated in the press release.

Through this collaboration, EDOTCO will provide infrastructure support to both Grameenphone and Teletalk, enabling them to expand network coverage across Bangladesh. By leveraging shared tower infrastructure, the partnership will enhance operational and network efficiency, accelerate network rollout, and improve service quality and accessibility for millions of users.

The agreement was signed by Yasir Azman, Chief Executive Officer, Grameenphone; Nurul Mabud Chowdhury, Managing Director, Teletalk; and Sunil Isaac, Country Managing Director, EDOTCO Bangladesh. Also present at the ceremony were Tanveer Mohammad, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, Grameenphone; Asif Naimur Rashid, Chief Business Officer, Grameenphone; S.M. Luthfullahil Mozid, Deputy General Manager (Regulatory & Corporate Relation), Teletalk; and Kazi Ayon Adnan, Key Account Manager (KAM), EDOTCO Bangladesh, along with other senior officials from the three organizations.

Speaking at the event, Yasir Azman, Chief Executive Officer, Grameenphone, said, “Customers are at the heart of everything we do at Grameenphone. In line with this belief, this collaboration will help us further strengthen our network coverage across Bangladesh and improve the quality of services we deliver every day. By sharing infrastructure, we look forward to operating more efficiently, expanding faster, and ensuring that our valued customers stay seamlessly connected through stronger, more reliable experiences.”

Nurul Mabud Chowdhury, Managing Director, Teletalk, said “As a state-owned operator, our mission is to ensure nationwide coverage and affordable services. This collaboration strengthens our ability to expand efficiently and deliver improved service experiences to our subscribers.”

Sunil Isaac, Country Managing Director, EDOTCO Bangladesh, said “This tri-party tower sharing agreement is a significant industry milestone that optimizes national telecom resources and reduces the financial burden of individual network expansion. This cooperative approach is essential for accelerating network coverage, improving Quality of Service (QoS) for consumers, and driving the nation’s digital transformation goals efficiently.”

This tripartite partnership reinforces a shared vision of building a digitally inclusive Bangladesh, ensuring that more people can benefit from improved connectivity and digital services.
