Farmers Market Asia (FMA), a Bangladeshi Global inclusive AgriTech and protein-trading company, has been selected from Bangladesh to present its groundbreaking story at the prestigious SelectUSA Investment Summit 2025, held from May 11–14 in National Harbor, Maryland, USA, said in press release. 

Invited by the U.S. Department of Commerce’s SelectUSA program, FMA was spotlighted for its transformative approach to agro-trade, combining e-traceability, sustainable sourcing, and ethical food supply practices across Southeast Asia and the MENA region. FMA was represented by Founder & MD Tariqul Islam Chowdhury and Co-Founder & CEO Abdullah Bakr at SelectUSA Investment summit. Mr. Abdullah Bakr presented a compelling story to a global audience of investors, U.S. policymakers, government stakeholders, and agro-tech entrepreneurs, outlining the company’s mission to combat protein deficiency by ensuring food safety through scalable and tech-driven solutions all over the world.

“In a world where more than a billion people suffer from protein-energy malnutrition, we believe innovation in agro-trade is not just an economic opportunity but a humanitarian necessity,” said Bakr.

After having the sustainable success in e-traceability and compliance in Asia and MENA region (Middle East & North Africa), FMA aims to expand its market in west. That’s why, FMA has designed a comprehensive range of solutions for the USA market, ensuring compliance with the U.S. FDA. By complying the FDA regulations, such as certified sourcing, food safety standards, e-traceability platform, and other necessary regulations, FMA is ready to bring the proven solution to the USA market and establish the right to protein for the consumers.

During the summit, the founders of FMA also took part in a series of targeted meetings with potential U.S. partners where it shared its vision for nutritional equity, food safety and sustainable agro-trade.
