This is the story of Somrat, one of many frontline fighters dedicated to helping underprivileged people during COVID-19. Somrat comes from a middle-class family. A family that he hasn’t seen in over three months. Somrat left home ever since the novel Coronavirus first appeared in Bangladesh. Somrat has been working tirelessly for the past three months. Helping people who are in need and distress. That is why, Delicious Desserts, in association with Bidyananda Foundation wanted to give Somrat a “small” surprise.

A recording from Somrat’s favorite artist Shayan. Imagine getting to see your favorite artist singing one of your favorite songs. Just when you thought this is it, your favorite artist calls your name just to wish you a very happy birthday. Surely, for a man living from hand to mouth, this small gesture of heartfelt appreciation must have made Somrat’s day.
