Ahsan Khan Chowdhury has been appointed as the new chairman of Midland Bank PLC, marking a significant addition to the bank’s leadership. His election was finalized during the 165th Board of Directors meeting on March 20, reportedly.
A sponsor director and an executive committee member of the bank, Chowdhury also heads its Risk Management Committee, further strengthening his influence in the institution’s strategic direction.
Chowdhury, who studied at Wartburg College, USA, began his corporate journey in 1992 as a director at Pran-RFL Group – a household name in FMCG and light engineering. Over the years, he has played a pivotal role in shaping the group’s growth and is currently serving as its Chairman and CEO.
