In response, the BB sent a letter to the chairman of BRAC Bank on December 22, 2024, notifying them of the issue.

The letter instructed the bank to take necessary steps to address the discrepancy and initiate legal actions against the officials responsible.

Additionally, the BB required the bank to submit a detailed report on the measures taken within 10 working days of the letter’s issuance.
