Samsung set to make foldable mainstream1 min read

Samsung Electronics has recently published its Q2 earnings. The company announced during the earnings report that it will try to solidify its leadership in premium smartphone segment by making the foldable phones mainstream.

The company’s revenue grew by 20% YoY to 63.7 trillion won ($55.6 billion). Operating profit grew by 54% YoY despite component shortage impacted the mobile division.

The mobile division seen adverse impacts mainly due to the industrywide component shortage and closure of factories in Vietnam due to Covid outbreak.
