Registration Of E-Commerce Business Will Now Be Completed Through App, Launching On Monday1 min read
To bring transparency in the e-commerce business, a specific application process is set to be launched on 7th February 2022 which is aimed to make the registration process of e-businesses streamlined.
Following the recent incidents of some of the e-commerce firms in Bangladesh, there has been a major concern regarding the regulations that are associated with this platform. As a result, Government wanted to address this by introducing a program which would be meticulous.
Over the years, e-commerce firms have made their mark in the country. There were some anomalies which questioned the whole process of the e-business, however the e-commerce firms will operate in the country since the sector itself has a lot of potential. While scrutinizing the whole process, the firms will be required to register through an app which is supposed to be launched on 7th February 2022. This applies for any firm that operates in social media platforms and through websites.
Keeping that in mind, the program session will take place at the Bangladesh Secretariat on Monday where Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi will be present as the chief guest. Zunaid Ahmed Palak, State Minister for ICT Division is also expected to be present in the ceremony.
The initiative for launching the app focuses on checking the irregularities that tends to happen in e-commerce businesses. Since consumers had negative experience with some of the e-commerce firms, this dedicated platform hopes to benefit both the consumers and e-businesses.
