Pinterest has increased its search volume by a whopping 150% over the last 5 years. As per reports, there are over 5 billion searches per month now compared to 2 billion in 2016.
Pinterest’s focus is on product listings specifically and helping users find the right items to buy.
The surge in e-commerce and locating products online has gradually helped searches reach their peak levels.
As people prepare for the post-pandemic life, searches for vacations have reached their all-time high. According to additional insights provided by Pinterest, searches for “dream vacation destinations”, for example, have increased 13x, while “luxury vacation” searches are up 6x. In addition, product searches have grown more than 20x YoY.
