Mastercard Reintroduces Flagship Ramadan Spend & Win Campaign

As the people of Bangladesh prepare for Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr, Mastercard has re-launched its flagship Ramadan Spend & Win campaign called ‘Mystical Maldives’, said a press release. Last year, Ramadan was impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic which disrupted the movement of people, supply chains, businesses, and economies across the globe. Through this year’s campaign, Mastercard aims to help revive the economy by promoting digital payments adoption among consumers.

Running from March 20-May 8, the campaign aims to bolster domestic and international retail transactions by providing cardholders with opportunities to win attractive prizes when they shop with their Mastercard credit, debit, or prepaid cards during the month-long festive season.

Mastercard cardholders that complete four transactions, each valued at Tk. 1,000 or USD 25 or above, during the campaign period, will be automatically entered into the promotion. Two points will be awarded for every domestic POS retail transaction of Tk. 1,000 or above and for every overseas retail e-commerce transaction of USD 25 or above. Three points will be awarded for every domestic eCommerce retail transaction of Tk. 1,000 or above and for every overseas POS retail transaction of USD 25 or above.

When the campaign concludes, winners will be declared based on the number of points collected. The participant with the most points will win a luxurious trip for two to the Maldives. The next top 50 participants will receive exciting prizes such as vouchers for electronics, gadgets, dining, and e-commerce.

Syed Mohammad Kamal, Country Manager, Mastercard, said, “Mastercard is delighted to announce the flagship ‘Mystical Maldives’ campaign which aims to provide a safe, seamless shopping experience as people plan feasts and purchase new clothes and luxury goods to celebrate the holidays. As COVID-19 cases decline and countries start to lift restrictions, Mastercard wants cardholders to enjoy priceless experiences as they get back to exploring the world.”

All Mastercard cards issued by these partners are eligible for this campaign: AB Bank, Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd, BRAC Bank, Bank Asia, Eastern Bank Limited, Dhaka Bank Limited, Dutch Bangla Bank, Islami Bank Limited, Mutual Trust Bank Limited, National Bank Limited, Prime Bank, Premier Bank, Pubali Bank, The City Bank, United Commercial Bank, Southeast Bank Ltd, Standard Chartered Bank, and Lankabangla Finance.
