Grameenphone, the country’s leading telecommunications services provider, has implemented a series of nationwide Health, Safety, and Security (HSS) initiatives aimed at strengthening operational safety for its frontline teams across its distribution network as stated in the Press Release.
The initiatives are designed to enhance field force HSS preparedness, improve vehicle safety standards, and embed a more structured safety culture across frontline operations.
As a key part of this effort, a nationwide Defensive Motorbike Training program has been conducted, where frontline employees are provided with specialized driving training. Additionally, certified mechanics have been engaged to conduct thorough inspections of the motorbikes of all field-level employees through a Motorbike Health Check-Up campaign. Furthermore, Grameenphone has distributed standard protective footwear to members of the Distribution House Field Force (DHFF).
Farha Naz Zaman, Chief Marketing Officer of Grameenphone, said, “At Grameenphone, safety is embedded into how we operate. These initiatives are designed to systematically reduce operational risks and equip our frontline teams with the capabilities and safeguards needed to perform their roles safely. Strengthening safety standards across our distribution network is integral to ensuring consistent service delivery and long-term operational resilience.”
Grameenphone believes that employee safety is the foundation of the organization. These initiatives go beyond ensuring compliance and reflect the company’s ongoing effort to create a safe working environment for every employee by integrating safety into its operational framework, prioritizing workforce capability development, and ensuring system-wide safety compliance across its nationwide distribution ecosystem.
