The Coca-Cola Company is making a significant move by entering the ready-to-drink alcohol market in collaboration with Pernod Ricard. They are introducing a new beverage called “Absolut Vodka & Sprite,” which will be available in specific European countries by 2024, including the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Spain, and Germany.

As a company dedicated to providing a wide range of beverage options for different consumer preferences and lifestyles, The Coca-Cola Company is strategically expanding into the ready-to-drink alcohol sector. They emphasize their commitment to responsible and sustainable growth in this area.
The company places consumers at the forefront of their efforts as they continue to diversify their beverage portfolio. This expansion includes products that incorporate selected brands from their core offerings. They express their excitement about their partnership with Pernod Ricard and the forthcoming launch of Absolut & Sprite.

The packaging of Absolut & Sprite ready-to-drink products prominently showcases two of the most globally recognized trademarks. Absolut, known for its premium vodka crafted from Swedish winter wheat since 1879, and Sprite, which has become one of The Coca-Cola Company’s flagship brands since its establishment in Germany in 1959.

To ensure responsible consumption, the beverage cans will feature clear age restriction symbols, indicating that only legal drinking-age consumers should enjoy the product. The marketing of Absolut & Sprite ready-to-drink will strictly adhere to responsible practices.

While the typical global standard for alcohol beverage volume (ABV) is 5%, this may vary depending on the market, as specified by Coca-Cola. Alexandre Ricard, CEO of Pernod Ricard, expresses his enthusiasm for this groundbreaking project, highlighting the collaboration between two industry leaders committed to offering innovative experiences with premium products. The combination of Absolut and Sprite is expected to take the entire alcohol ready-to-drink category to new heights.
