Banglalink has obtained the No Objection Certificate (NOC) from Bangladesh Bank to begin operations as a Payment Service Provider (PSP), marking a major step toward expanding digital payment access nationwide. With this approval, Banglalink is set to introduce essential financial services directly through customers’ mobile devices, enhancing convenience, security and financial inclusion.
Backed by its high-capacity technology platform and guided by the company’s DO1440 strategy focused on delivering relevant digital and financial services every minute of the day Banglalink is preparing to launch a wide range of next-generation payment solutions. As a fully owned subsidiary of VEON, the global digital operator, Banglalink views this milestone as critical to strengthening the foundation for a cashless, digitally empowered Bangladesh. VEON’s global fintech expertise further reinforces the company’s commitment to inclusive digital finance.
Upon launch, customers will gain access to instant money transfers, remittance services, utility and government bill payments, e-commerce and merchant transactions, salary and disbursement services, as well as emerging offerings such as micro-savings and insurance premium payments. Millions of users especially those in unbanked and underserved segments are expected to benefit from safer, faster and more seamless financial transactions.
The platform has been built with a robust security framework to ensure reliability and long-term customer trust.
