Grameenphone, the country’s leading telecommunications service provider, has signed an agreement with Bangladesh Satellite Company Limited (BSCL) to bring Starlink’s next-generation satellite internet solutions to its corporate clientele in Bangladesh.

Targeting industries where terrestrial infrastructure remains limited but high availability, low latency, and mission-critical uptime are essential, this collaboration will enable Grameenphone’s B2B customers to enjoy seamless, high-speed connectivity even in the most remote and hard-to-reach areas of the country.

The agreement was signed at GPHouse recently by Yasir Azman, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Grameenphone, and Dr. Muhammad Imadur Rahman, Managing Director & CEO of BSCL. Also present during the ceremony were Dr. Asif Naimur Rashid, Chief Business Officer of Grameenphone, Md. Golam Sarowar, General Manager (Admin & Procurement) and Shah Ahmedul Kabir, General Manager (Sales and Marketing) of BSCL along with other senior officials from both organizations.

Dr. Asif Naimur Rashid, Chief Business Officer of Grameenphone, said, “At Grameenphone, we are continuously looking for ways to bring best-in-class connectivity solutions to our enterprise customers. This collaboration with BSCL marks another step in our commitment to ensuring business continuity and resilience for organizations operating across Bangladesh. With Starlink’s advanced satellite technology, our B2B partners, especially those operating in remote energy fields, coastal operations, or border zones, will be able to stay connected, productive, and future-ready.”

Dr. Muhammad Imadur Rahman, Managing Director & CEO of BSCL, added, “We are pleased to partner with Grameenphone to expand satellite broadband access for the GP’s enterprise sector. Together, we aim to strengthen Bangladesh’s digital backbone, ensuring uninterrupted communication for critical operations in even the most geographically challenging areas.”

Starlink’s satellite-based connectivity will act as a reliable backup link, maintaining uninterrupted operations during fiber cuts, natural disasters, or rural network outages. By combining Grameenphone’s network leadership, BSCL’s satellite expertise, and Starlink’s global capabilities, this collaboration sets a new benchmark for enterprise connectivity in Bangladesh in terms of innovation, operational resilience, and sustainable digital growth.
