Rapid growth in urbanization has propelled the growth of noodles market in Bangladesh. The market size of noodles is worth around Tk 1,000 crore with about 10% annual growth rate. The growth rose to 16% during pandemic due to staying home.
The total annual demand for noodles is 27,000 tonne and Instant noodle demand makes up about 60% of the total demand. Maggi, Mr. Noodles & Cocola are the top 3 noodle brands in Bangladesh with 30%, 22% & 20% market share respectively.
The export market for noodles also grew by 25% in FY 2020-21.
