Robi Axiata Limited, a leading telecommunications company, has recently announced the appointment of Varinder Paul Singla as its Chief Information Officer (CIO). With over 21 years of extensive experience in the telecom sector, Singla brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role. His previous leadership positions in prominent companies such as True Corporation, Telenor Myanmar, and Telenor Asia, coupled with his educational background, make him a valuable addition to Robi Axiata’s executive team.
With a deep understanding of the sector’s complexities and evolving technological landscape, Varinder Paul Singla’s impressive track record in the telecommunications industry spans more than two decades.

Before joining Robi Axiata, Singla served as the Senior Vice President and Head of IT at True Corporation, a merger of dtac (Telenor) and True in Thailand. Prior to that, he held key positions at Telenor, including Head of IT at Telenor Myanmar and Head of IT Operating Model at Telenor Asia.

Singla’s experience extends beyond Telenor, as he has also worked with industry giants such as IBM, Idea Cellular Limited, Reliance Communication, and Bharti Airtel. This diverse background has exposed him to various business models and enabled him to develop a comprehensive understanding of different market dynamics within the telecommunications landscape.
Mr. Singla earned his MBA/PGDBA in Marketing, from Symbiosis and B. Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from Punjab Technical University.
