Recently there has been lots of criticism regarding Bangladesh ranking 135th out of 137 countries in the world in a recent report of Ookla, a global platform that measures internet speed. However, if we check the internet subscriber data, it has shown staggering growth. According to a BTRC, the total number of subscribers has reached 12.09 crore at the end of June, up from 11.73 crores a month earlier. So, mobile operators have added 25.90 lakh internet subscribers in the month of June. Hence, along with the growing internet subscriber base, Bangladesh has seen steady growth in Social Media Platform User Base as well.
