YouTube creators frequently suffer from unnecessary abusive and toxic comments in the comment section of their videos, and YouTube has been experimenting several ways to combat it. The video streaming giant is currently testing new Channel Guidelines that lets Channel manage to set rules around the types of comments viewers can post on their videos.

“We’re experimenting with a small number of creators, giving them the ability to define up to three channel guidelines for comments. These are a specific set of rules that everyone has to read and accept before they post a comment to your YouTube channel that help outline the kinds of conversations that you want to see on that channel” stated Youtube as per reports from Social Media Today.

The feature may still require manual intervention to completely get rid of hateful comments as the automated systems may not be able to detect comments relating to the context.
