The delegation led by the German Ambassador to Bangladesh, Mr Peter proposed the plan to the honourable Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal while paying a courtesy visit at the Ministry of Finance.

According to Mr Kamal,

“It is a good proposal as we will not have to import such expensive cars from abroad if they set up the plant.”

The delegation arrived in Dhaka on September 9th and currently is on a five-day visit in Bangladesh. The delegation will discuss trade and investment issues with all the necessary authorities here in Bangladesh. German Asia-Pacific Business Association, together with the Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry, jointly has organised this visit.

It’s also stated that Germany is also interested in working on Jute in Bangladesh. This can prove to be one of the best news for the Jute industry as the sector has seen some serious decline in growth for the past years.
