Truecaller, Microsoft Partner: AI Responds to Calls in Your Voice1 min read

Truecaller, the renowned caller ID service, has partnered with Microsoft to introduce a groundbreaking feature allowing users to respond to calls using their own voice, courtesy of AI technology. This innovative offering, powered by Microsoft’s Personal Voice technology, represents a major leap forward in the realm of telecommunications. Truecaller users will now have the option to leverage their own voices, replicated digitally by the AI-powered Assistant, to greet and interact with callers.

The collaboration between Truecaller and Microsoft enables users to record a short script in their own voice, which the AI Assistant then uses to respond to incoming calls. This personalized approach enhances the user experience by providing a more natural and familiar interaction with callers. While Truecaller’s Assistant has traditionally offered preset system-generated voice options, the integration of Microsoft’s Personal Voice technology introduces a new level of customization and authenticity to call responses. By utilizing this feature, users can ensure that callers hear a digital version of their own voice, adding a personal touch to their communication.

The rollout of the personal voice feature will commence over the next few weeks, initially launching in select markets including the U.S., Canada, Australia, South Africa, India, Sweden, and Chile. Initially available to public beta users, the feature will later become accessible to all users in eligible markets, promising to redefine the standard for call management and user engagement.
