Inclusive Payment Ecosystem with ‘EkPay’ Launched by ICT Division1 min read
The ICT Division is advancing efforts to create a seamless and inclusive payment system through the payment aggregator ‘EkPay.’ This platform allows users to conveniently pay utility bills, education fees, and government institution charges via any preferred payment channel stated in a report.
Operated under the guidance of Bangladesh Bank, ‘EkPay’ is designed to promote financial inclusion and integrate IT into financial services, extending benefits to grassroots communities.
To address challenges and explore solutions in the financial payment ecosystem, a day-long workshop was recently held at the a2i Conference Room. Organized by Aspire to Innovate (a2i), the session brought together stakeholders and service providers to enhance the platform’s capabilities.
The ICT Division is committed to positioning ‘EkPay’ as a trusted national payment aggregator by ensuring interoperability across financial services and fostering connections between government institutions, utility providers, educational organizations, banks, and fintech platforms. The initiative aims to simplify payment processes while building public trust and accessibility.
