Google launching shopping platform is mainly to challenge Amazon’s superiority when it comes to online shopping. However, there is a difference. Google is not storing the products and they are not even shipping the products. So what are they doing exactly? Basically, Google is offering a “Buy with Google Guarantee”. So what does that mean? Well, basically, through this, customers will be able to claim a refund in case they don’t get a timely delivery.

On Google, product searches for shopping have been declining in recent years. However, that’s not the case with Amazon.  More and more customers are relying on Amazon. The number is just increasing day by day.  As a result, more and more companies are moving their advertising budgets to Amazon, which is a real concern for Google.

Not too long ago, they desperately wished to appear higher on Google’s search results. But that’s not the case anymore. Now they are emphasizing on Amazon’s search result. No doubt that it is a big blow for Google and the company wants to stop it no matter what.
