North South University (NSU) Finance Club welcomes undergraduate students from diverse academic disciplines across the country to participate in the country’s biggest investment and portfolio management competition, The City Bank presents Optimity 2024.
In today’s world, a strong understanding of finance is a powerful tool. It not only empowers individuals with financial literacy but also provides a competitive edge by opening new career avenues. Optimity 2024 is here to offer inquisitive youth an opportunity to test their expertise and expand their insight into the country’s capital market, while affording participants the privilege to network and collaborate with others.

Optimity 2024 invites undergraduate students from any discipline and any university in Bangladesh to participate. The competition includes two workshops and three challenging rounds, designed to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical applications.
The workshops, led by industry professionals, will be conducted before the first two rounds to prepare participants. The first round will take place online and feature MCQs, while the subsequent rounds will emphasize case studies and require offline presentations, assessed by industry experts. Teams of 2-4 members from the same university can register, with only the best teams progressing to the advanced stages of the competition.
Optimity 2024 will conclude with a Grand Finale on December 4th, with a grand prize pool of BDT 300,000 and certificates awaiting the top twenty participants, awarded by the Department of Accounting and Finance. Last but not least, we look forward to the participation of creative minds, as registration ends on November 20th with a fee of only BDT 599.
