MetLife Bangladesh settled 2,895 crore taka claims in 2024. This amount includes the money customers received as insurance benefits and claims for loss of life and medical needs, according to press release.
MetLife Bangladesh’s Chief Executive Officer, Ala Ahmad, said, “The most important part of a customer’s insurance journey is receiving claims. Of the total claims settled, claims for health and medical expenses were 237 crore Taka, death claims amounted to 140 crore Taka; and maturity, partial maturity and others were a total of 2,518 crore Taka.
MetLife Bangladesh has, over the last 5 years (2020 – 2024) settled over 11,400 crore Taka as insurance claims.
