iFarmer as an agri-tech startup based in Bangladesh, has been chosen to participate in Visa’s prestigious Accelerator Program for the Asia Pacific region in 2024. The announcement, made via a press release, highlighted that iFarmer joins a select group of startups from Hong Kong SAR, Singapore, the United States, and Vietnam.
The six-month program will provide iFarmer and the other selected startups with customized training from Visa’s product architects. This collaboration will focus on co-developing, testing, and iterating new solutions that are ready for technical integration, thereby accelerating their path to commercialization. In addition to the training, one standout startup from the cohort will have the opportunity to present their solution at the Visa Everywhere Initiative. This open innovation program, hosted by TechCrunch at the Disrupt conference in San Francisco, offers significant exposure and networking opportunities.
Expressing his enthusiasm about the selection, Fahad Ifaz, co-founder and CEO of iFarmer, stated, “Our payment facilities solution aligns with the Visa Accelerator Program’s mission to expand financial access. This opportunity will enable us to support underserved populations in Bangladesh more effectively.”
