Unilever Consumer Care Limited Holds 51st AGM2 min read
Unilever Consumer Care Limited successfully held its 51st Annual General Meeting (AGM) at 11:00 am on Tuesday, 14th May 2024. At the meeting, shareholders approved the directors’ report, auditor’s report, and audited financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2023, where the declaration of a final cash dividend of 300% on the paid-up capital of the company, i.e., BDT 30.00 per ordinary share of BDT 10.00 each, was announced, said a press release.
In pursuance of the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission’s directive, the AGM was conducted through the digital platform.
The meeting was presided over by the company’s chairman, Mr. Masud Khan and the Company’s other directors, namely Mr. Mohammad Zaved Akhtar, Ms. Zinnia Tanzina Huq, Mr. S.O.M. Rashedul Quayum, Mr. Md. Abul Hossain, and Mr. Reazul Haque Chowdhury, and Company Secretary, Mr. Md. Naharul Islam Molla, along with the company’s Statutory Auditors, Independent Scrutinizer, and a good number of shareholders, attended the meeting using the digital platform.

Mr. Masud Khan, Chairman of Unilever Consumer Care Limited, stated, “In 2023, as a global business, our company encountered significant challenges stemming from geo-political crises, leading to a decline in gross profit. However, despite these adverse circumstances, we demonstrated resilience by increasing our net profit margin by 6.5% in 2023 compared to 2022. Despite the limitations imposed by external factors, the company’s final cash dividend for 2023 is 300% upon the approval of our shareholders in the 51st AGM.
